United Arab Emirates in Brief
.The UAE lies on the Arabian Gulf and bordered by the Arabian Gulf to the
North, the State of Qatar and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the West, by the Sultanate of Oman and Saudi Arabia to
the South, and by the Gulf of Oman to the East.
The UAE contains Seven Emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman,
Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Umm Al Quwain.
The UAE covers an area of 83,600 Sq.Kms. According to the latest national census conducted in 1995, the total population
of the UAE stood at 2,411,000. It is expected to reach 3 millions by the end of 1999. |
